THE CHAIR OF FOLK INSTRUMENTAL PERFORMANCE
The chair has changed its name a few times over the years and since 2012 it has been called the "Folk Instrumental Performance", a chair with a long history and rich traditions. The main goal of education is to train high-level specialists to perform as a soloist, a member of an ensemble and an orchestra, and pedagogue. Students learn to perform classical and modern musical pieces, mughams, and folk dances professionally, develop national musical traditions. At the same time, the students are taught the problems of interpretation of the pieces they perform, the features of performing in ensembles and orchestras, accompanying as a concertmaster, repertoire selection, terminological apparatus related to the specialty, teaching methodology of specialized subjects. Students acquire all information they will need to apply their knowledge and skills innovatively in the future.
In addition to the teaching process, the department of folk musical instruments also organizes events and concerts. The projects of the Folk Instruments Orchestra (conductor Mustafa Ashurov) stand out for their originality. The rich experience of the chair staff is reflected in teaching materials based on modern principles of music pedagogy. Since 2015, associate professor,
